Island Explorer Minibus Tour

Join us for a weekend minibus tour, visiting Victoria in the South Island, winding our way through Sooke and Botanical Beach, to Lake Cowichan, then Nanaimo in the Mid Island, the Comox Valley, Campbell River and North into Sayward, Port McNeil and the rugged North Island.

Duration:

3 Days

Our minibus tour starts with a couple of hours in Victoria before we travel along the coast of Vancouver Island with views across the Juan de Fuca Strait to Oregon. We'll stop at Botanical Beach where after a short hike we will see an abundance of marine life in unique rockpools. From Botanical beach we travel inland, over the hills to Lake Cowichan, stopping to visit old growth cedars, before descending into Cowichan valley for our first-night camping on the shores of Lake Cowichan.

Saturday morning we travel to the mid-island, and Nanaimo where we will hike to Ammonite Falls, a breathtaking waterfall in Winter or Summer Months. We'll depart Nanaimo and head up Island to the Comox Valley, visiting several points of interest along the way. We overnight at a campground just outside Campbell RIver, with direct access to waterfalls and trails and an abundance of marine and land wildlife.

On our final day, we start out early for the last leg of our adventure, heading North towards Port McNeil where we will visit hiking trails, caves and lakes. After a full day exploring the area, we leave for Victoria and guest departures. Please ensure that follow-on travel is co-ordinated with the tour guide before departure to ensure we arrive back in Victoria in plenty of time.
