Cape Scott Provincial Park

Awesome scenery awaits you in the beautiful Cape Scott Provincial Park. Long windswept beaches, hidden coves, lush forest and immense wildlife can be found on this 5 day hiking and camping adventure.

Duration: 5 Days

Cape Scott is located on the northernmost edge of Vancouver Island. Cape Scott stretches for 150km of shoreline, and includes 30km of windswept, remote beaches. Formed in 1973 as a Provincial Park, it also houses the site of the Cape Scott Lighthouse and gives us the opportunity to see sea stacks, salt marshes and estuaries on our tour. With such a remote location, hiking is an integral part of the adventure. We will pack all supplies, camping equipment and food in with us, following lengthy trails, raised boardwalks and forest. Camping is permitted on the beach and we will take shelter on the edge of Nels Bight, a 2.4km stretch of sandy beach. Wildlife is especially prevalent in the Park, including wolves and bears. All participants will be briefed on appropriate behaviour, safety and wildlife encounters.
